Providence, RI – A heat advisory has been issued for Tuesday, July 9th, and Wednesday, July 10th, due to expected high temperatures. In response, the Providence Department of Recreation is extending the hours of operation for all splash pads and specific pools to help residents stay cool.
Extended Hours:
- All splash pads will be open an additional 2 hours, from 12 PM to 7 PM, on both days.
- The following pools will also be open during these extended hours:
- Davey Lopes
- Zuccolo
- Igliozzi
- West End
- Rogers
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these extended hours to beat the heat and enjoy the city’s water facilities. Staying hydrated and cool is crucial during this heat advisory, and these extended hours provide an excellent opportunity for families and individuals to enjoy some relief from the high temperatures.
